Shabbat Toldot

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of David Miller.
Throughout our time here as Shlichim we have had joint projects with Beth Shalom and specifically with Debbie, David’s lovely Mum. Our hearts are broken for Debbie and the Miller family. All our love, thoughts and prayers are with them.

May the Omnipresent comfort them among the rest of the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem

Don’t forget…. Level 3 (almost step 2) Lockdown Fun!!

Every morning at 8.30am we have Tefillah with the Kadimah kids. ANYONE is welcome to join. Adults, kids, post Kadimah or never Kadimah. Does not matter. We start by saying a few morning prayers for a brighter day ahead.
We then move on to a Women’s Workout Class at 9.15am to keep our bodies and minds in shape, despite being stuck at home.
There’s been an AMAZING and STRONG group of women joining every morning and it has become a safe zone for all levels and ages. Come, check it out, fun is guaranteed!
Seeing the end of Shabbat time changes every week, we will always be having Havdalah 10 minutes after Shabbat so make sure you look up on the AHC main page and site, exactly what time Shabbat is out.
Looking forward to seeing you there <3

Creativity with Lockdown Classes…
It’s no secret that lockdown is tough on us all.
Our challenge is to bring the awesome kids of our community and our school, something different and new to be enjoyed! Not just another dull, online class…
We need to be creative and innovative and then we get to enjoy engaged kids with loads of motivation to share their thoughts, opinions and feelings.
We feel blessed to have an opportunity to help these students on their educational, Jewish, Zionist lifelong journey.
Here’s pictures from Tfilah with Kadimah, a special Kabbalat Shabbat and last Sunday’s Bar & Bat Mitzvah class.

REMINDER: BNEI AKIVA SUMMER CAMP 2021

Dear Parents and Supporters,

Bnei Akiva New Zealand & Habonim Dror Aotearoa New Zealand are committed to prioritising the health & safety of our chanichim, madrichim and wider community as we run our camps this summer.

As part of our commitment to creating covid-safe environments, both of our movements have made the decision to require everyone who is 12 and over to be double vaccinated in order to attend our camps.

All of our madrichim are on their way to being fully vaccinated by camp.

We will soon be advising parents of the exact policies and requirements for Bnei camp, including for those who turn 12 shortly before camp, and for children with medical conditions that exempt them from vaccination.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to get in touch with us here or contact Sacha +64 20 4023 1866 or email camp@bneiakiva.org.nz.

Wishing you all a relaxed Shabbat.
As always, please feel free to reach out for any help needed.
We would love to have a chat, grab your groceries or medication or just hear you out.
Stay well and healthy, we will get through this! (at least we can go shopping now!)
Sending lots of love and safe virtual hugs for a Shabbat Shalom,
The Fogels

Generously supported by the Joyce Fisher Charitable Trust
