The Auckland Hebrew Congregation (AHC) is a modern orthodox congregation committed to providing spiritually uplifting Shul Services as well as educational and social events for all age groups in a warm and welcoming communal atmosphere.

The AHC has a main centre in Auckland Central, adjacent to the Greys Avenue Deli, the city’s only Kosher café and grocery store. Whether you’ve grown up in Auckland, you’re a new arrival, or you’re just passing through, the AHC welcomes you and invites you to attend services and community events.

OUR CENTRE

As Auckland’s only Orthodox Synagogue and Community Centre, Auckland Hebrew Congregation (AHC) is the hub of Jewish living in the city.

KADIMAH SCHOOL & PRE-SCHOOL

Kadimah is a State integrated school with special Jewish character. Kadimah Preschool is an independent Jewish preschool governed by the Bernard Goldwater Educational Trust.

GREYS AVE DELI

The Greys Ave Deli is Auckland’s largest stockist of Kosher food and only Kosher cafe in the region.

AHC run a variety of events throughout the year covering all the main chagim as well as for other occasions.

We also run joint events with other communal organisations, many of them being held at the AHC community centre. Becoming a member of the Congregation makes it far easier for individuals to keep up-to-date with activities, news and events in the Community with weekly newsletters and a monthly magazine.
