Shabbat Vayeira

Special Friday Night Live for a very Special Shabbat

This Shabbat is the worldwide Shabbat project and we decided it deserves a special Kabbalat Shabbat.
So we got the very special Amikam to join us and he will be leading us into Shabbat with beautiful songs we all know from the Shabbat service.
The wonderful Bar & Bat Mitzvah kids will guide us through the service and explain the different songs.
Come join, and start your Shabbat with some food for the soul. See you there <3

Level 3 Lockdown Fun

Every morning at 8.30am we have Tefillah with the Kadimah kids. ANYONE is welcome to join. Adults, kids, post Kadimah or never Kadimah. Does not matter. We start by saying a few morning prayers for a brighter day ahead.

We then move on to a Women’s Workout Class at 9.15am to keep our bodies and minds in shape, despite being stuck at home.
There’s been an AMAZING and STRONG group of women joining every morning and it has become a safe zone for all levels and ages. Come, check it out, fun is guaranteed!

This Saturday night will be our last Havdalah together at.8:30PM. We know it’s difficult signing on to zoom at almost 9PM, right after Shabbat. We’re more than happy to continue doing Havdalah with individuals - just let us know. Look forward to seeing you there and may the next Havdalah we do together, be in person.

DID SOMEONE SAY CHOCOLATE CRINKLES ?!
Last week we had a blast baking some fudgy chocolate crinkles with the best bakers in town! We loved seeing Kadimah students and community members join the fun. We may have overdosed on sugar and chocolate but it was worth every minute…Be sure you join the next baking zoom!

THE SHABBAT PROJECT

We’re excited to share our Shabbat projects with you in next week’s Shavuon so you can all enjoy the pictures of a wonderful Challah Bake and the joy on peoples’ faces when receiving a Shabbat bag. Thank you to all you special people out there for participating and to the amazing local businesses for their support, donation and help. Keep an eye out for some awesome pictures to come…

REMINDER: BNEI AKIVA SUMMER CAMP 2021

Dear Parents and Supporters,

Bnei Akiva New Zealand & Habonim Dror Aotearoa New Zealand are committed to prioritising the health & safety of our chanichim, madrichim and wider community as we run our camps this summer.

As part of our commitment to creating covid-safe environments, both of our movements have made the decision to require everyone who is 12 and over to be double vaccinated in order to attend our camps.

All of our madrichim are on their way to being fully vaccinated by camp.

We will soon be advising parents of the exact policies and requirements for Bnei camp, including for those who turn 12 shortly before camp, and for children with medical conditions that exempt them from vaccination.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to get in touch with us here or contact Sacha +64 20 4023 1866 or email camp@bneiakiva.org.nz.

Wishing you all a fun, relaxing and meaningful Shabbat.
Please feel free to reach out for any help needed.
We would love to have a chat, grab your groceries or medication or just hear you out.
Stay well and healthy, we will get through this!
Sending lots of love and safe virtual hugs for a Shabbat Shalom,
The Fogels

Generously supported by the Joyce Fisher Charitable Trust
