Shabbat Lech-Lecha

Level 3 Lockdown Fun

Every morning at 8.30am we have Tefillah with the Kadimah kids. ANYONE is welcome to join. Adults, kids, post Kadimah or never Kadimah. Does not matter. We start by saying a few morning prayers for a brighter day ahead.

We then move on to a Women’s Workout Class at 9.15am to keep our bodies and minds in shape, despite being stuck at home.
There’s been an AMAZING and STRONG group of women join every morning and it has become a safe zone for all levels and ages.
Come check it out, fun is guaranteed!

On Saturday nights we have a quick Havdalah. You’d be signing on for maybe 10 minutes tops.
Together we sing Havdalah and say goodbye to Shabbat with hopes for a brighter week….
Please note- the time was changed and we are now starting 8:30PM every Saturday night.

THE SHABBAT PROJECT

WOW! We are SOOO excited to have found a cool solution to this weird situation where we can’t celebrate the Shabbat project together! For three years now we have been bringing the Shabbat project to the community and have had a blast every time!
This year we have planned two projects -
1. The Shabbat Bag- SOLD OUT!!!!
We are so grateful the Shabbat bag has sold out 48 hours after launching!
We are loving communicating with local businesses and getting as many supporters as possible while we support them back at these tricky times.
Thank you to all you great people for purchasing and we hope you’ll enjoy your fun bag!

2. The Great Big Challah bake!
It’s sad planning this without being able to decorate a hall, enjoy delicious food and host more than 100 women like last year but…. we know it can be just as special this year! We’ve planned a night filled with fun, love, music and laughter.
Come along and let’s bake some Challah together! REGISTER HERE—>> https://megachallahbake.co.nz/
(Teaser: if you sign up on time, you get to be one of the lucky ones to receive a traditional Challah Bake apron!)

BNEI AKIVA SUMMER CAMP 2021

Dear Parents and Supporters,

Bnei Akiva New Zealand & Habonim Dror Aotearoa New Zealand are committed to prioritising the health & safety of our chanichim, madrichim and wider community as we run our camps this summer.

As part of our commitment to creating covid-safe environments, both of our movements have made the decision to require everyone who is 12 and over to be double vaccinated in order to attend our camps.

All of our madrichim are on their way to being fully vaccinated by camp.

We will soon be advising parents of the exact policies and requirements for Bnei camp, including for those who turn 12 shortly before camp, and for children with medical conditions that exempt them from vaccination.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to get in touch with us here or contact Sacha +64 20 4023 1866 or email camp@bneiakiva.org.nz.

Havdalah Together

Thank you to all those amazing people who sign in for a few minutes and make our Havdalah so much better.
During these strange times it can get lonely and boring. Seeing wonderful community members joining in, singing along with us and having their very own Havdalah set, makes the end of Shabbat so much better.
Looking forward to seeing you all again this Saturday night :)

Wishing you all a fun, relaxing and meaningful Shabbat.
Please feel free to reach out for any help needed.
We would love to have a chat, grab your groceries or medication or just hear you out.
Stay well and healthy, we will get through this!
Sending lots of love and safe virtual hugs for a Shabbat Shalom,
The Fogels

Generously supported by the Joyce Fisher Charitable Trust
