Kadimah Celebrates its 50th anniversary

OK FOLKS! THE CRAZINESS BEGINS! The bottom line: The only Jewish school at the bottom of the world needs your support.

Why should you help?

This might or might not be your community or a place you will ever visit. But, this one school is part of a huge entity called the Jewish nation. With 51% Jewish students, this school changes the way the public sees Judaism. When antisemitism knocks on the Jewish door, these students are part of the front line guards in a country where not many Jews live. Under tough circumstances where hardly any orthodox Jewish life exists, this school leads the way for many other New Zealand schools and shines in so many ways.

YOU, yes you, with the smallest (or biggest) amount of money, can help. Make a donation. Help these adorable Kadimah students have a richer future in a school filled with opportunities.

…״וּנְתַתִּיךָ לְאוֹר גּוֹיִם לִהְיוֹת יְשׁוּעָתִי עַד קְצֵה הָאָרֶץ”

“Behold I have made you a light unto the nations, bringing salvation to the ends of the earth." (Isaiah 49:6)

Time to breathe…

We were grateful for the opportunity to have some time away and give our kids our full attention. These past few days we were able to enjoy this beautiful country and its great hikes. We enjoyed every minute of rest and staying in Pyjamas a bit longer on Shabbat :)
Here are some pictures for you to enjoy and don’t forget to SAVE the dates below for all the fun coming your way.
(Teaser: Ladies! A night is being planned just for you, tbc very soon, watch this space!)

Steven Sher Youth Leadership Awards meeting

This Tuesday night we participated in a Zoom meeting led by Mike Silverman where all youth movement leaders attended and discussed future plans for the wonderful Steven Sher Youth Leadership Awards event.
Alongside this wonderful initiative, it was great seeing all youth leaders in one space trying to form a joint group to lead the younger people in our community.
We hope this group can work together on many events and lead via an example of unity and togetherness, despite differences. Thank you Mike for leading with charisma.

COMING UP!!

Hold on tight because we have loads of fun activities planned and coming your way…

Bullying and how to find a way out…

Being a teenager is complicated for so many reasons and the social aspects play a big part.
We invite you to send your teens to this JNA on August 12 at 8pm where we’ll discuss the different types of bullying, what to do when witnessing someone being bullied and how to be extra careful not to become a bully unintentionally. This is a complicated and sensitive subject yet so necessary, especially these days.
Please let us know if your son/daughter is under the age of 15 and would like to come.

Shalom Court

We are so excited to be visiting Shalom Court soon and would love our “Bogrim” - graduates from the past three years - to join the fun on August 15 at 10am!
Every year we learn about the importance of respecting our elders and how we can best fulfill that mitzvah.
It is important to us that kids having their Bar & Bat Mitzvah understand the responsibility they now have and the values Judaism teaches us.
We grew up volunteering constantly and are grateful to our family and community for teaching us at a young age, through hands on experience, the importance of respect, love and togetherness, especially with the elderly.
If your son/daughter is a former BM student, please encourage them to take an hour out of their day, and join the fun.
