Tomer Chemed HERE WE COME!

More than 30 of us will be sitting together this Sunday and enjoying a Wellington Pheonix game with Israeli player, Tomer Chemed.
Although flags are not permitted, we will be cheering Tomer on, wearing blue and white, ensuring he knows we are there supporting him and the country he represents. Can’t wait!

Bnei Akiva Sign Ups CLOSED!

We are thrilled to announce we are ALL FULL for this upcoming winter camp!
With so many AMAZING Chanichim signed up we are SO excited to progress camp planning.
We are also very excited to hopefully be welcoming back our Australian Mads (if our bubble allows us to), whom we’ve missed a great deal in the past few camps.
Can’t wait to JUST JEW IT with all the amazing New Zealand Chanichim!

LAST WEEK…

NEW: Kids’ Programme at the AHC every Saturday!

This Shabbat was the first official kids’ service at the AHC.
Netanya De coasta and Rachel Beattie will be alternating and running the services every Shabbat.
Please join the fun and come relax in the service whilst your kids are looked after!

BM CLASS
Although there is a ceasefire, we know our students have been busy ruminating about the latest events in Israel.
We started off class by explaining the basic facts regarding Israel. We looked at a map, spoke about the borders, neighbours and “friendships” we have with each neighbour. Then we moved on to learning about Rosh Chodesh, Shabbat Mevarchim, the Torah scroll - how it’s written, the process it goes through, its price and more. We also learnt about the shul, the way it’s built and the different responsibilities people have in shul. Lots of information and lots of fun too.

Israel Solidarity Rally

We were AMAZED to see so many people come together to support and stand with Israel at such a difficult time. It feels as if a big part of the world is turning their back on us but seeing such support and love from others warmed our hearts. We did what was in our power to send as many pictures and videos possible to those in Israel so they know and feel how much they are loved, from the other side of the world. The group we worked together with on this Rally comprised incredible people and supporters from different religions and beliefs. It was such an important lesson for us in viewing and understanding what we do have and not what we don’t. We would like to personally thank each and every person who made the effort and showed up. We couldn’t think of anything more important than being there and showing the world, WE STAND TOGETHER WITH ISRAEL.
