Parashat Ha’Azinu
Noam Hosting the Jewish Agency Le’chaim
This week we were honoured by the Jewish Agency’s request that Noam host and lead the Rosh Hashana Europe, Australia, NZ & South Africa Le’chaim along with the Jewish agency chairmain- Itzhak Hertzog.
Rosh Hashana Hosting
We had the privilege of hosting 30 community members, across two days at the four special meals.
We love welcoming families into our home and introducing new foods, culture and religious aspects. Most of all, we enjoyed some great company and special memories that we will cherish.
Hebrew club
The next Hebrew club classes will focus on the Havdalah ceremony.
Together we are learning the prayer, its meaning and creating our very own Havdalah set.
This week we focused on Besamim, the spice box.
Looking forward to more fun next classes.
Goodbye Etty
Etty Aloni has been the Jewish agency representative in charge of the Shlichim in Australia and NZ. Etty was living in Melbourne. We have had the privilege of working with her and this week we had to say goodbye as she is headed back home to Israel after two years of Shlichut.
Collaboration with AUS Shlichim
Together with some great friends and co-workers we are headed into a series of educational discussions. Each discussion will be led by three different Shlichim from different backgrounds and youth movements.
We encourage our BA Bogrim and any other youth movement Bogrim to join in and hear some interesting opinions and views that might be surprising to hear. . .
Ben Silverman Celebrates a Bar Mitzvah
We are SO excited for Ben who is celebrating his Bar Mitzvah this week.
Ben is a wonderful young man whom we have known since the very beginning of our journey here in NZ. With a sweet smile and such care for his surroundings, we feel blessed to know Ben and to have had him in this year’s Bar & Bat Mitzvah class.
We wish Ben a HUGE Mazel Tov on such a wonderful milestone.
We can’t wait to hear him in Shul this Shabbat : )
*No kids minyan this Shabbat
Next Week:
