AUS & NZ Shlichim brainstorm

While most countries with Shlichim have several Shlichim from different organizations, NZ is unique and has usually only two Shlichim- AHC Shlichim and ZF Shlicha/Shaliach.
In order to stay connected and know about different programs, initiatives and more, we get together with the Shlichim in Australia between two to three times a month and have a fun yet serious session of brainstorming, led by the Jewish agency representative in Australia.
We feel although we are far away from other Shlichim, these meetings bring us closer together and help us challenge ourselves with new projects, initiatives and goals for the community and the youth.

Preparing Kadimah for the high holidays

We might not be together in person but we can still prepare for the upcoming holidays!
Together with the wonderful students, we are learning about T’shuva, the importance of the holidays and the fresh start we pray for on Yom Kippur.
Looking forward to seeing all these amazing students in person.

Visiting Israel from afar

Everyone is pushed to be as creative as possible during these tricky months of Covid-19.
Tour guides have found ways of making Israel appealing to tourists and making sure we all can enjoy its unique and special sites.
Not only do we get to do some site seeing, but we get to hear and learn about the unbelievable diversity of Jerusalem- the microcosm of the Israeli society and the beating heart of the Jewish people.
We hope all those who joined this amazing tour felt for at least a minute, they were in Israel.

Staying connected

It’s not a secret that Judaism takes lots of work and devotion. When families reach out and want their children to know a bit more, stay connected or learn something new, we are delighted to meet privately and offer some of our experience and knowledge.
We see former Kadimah students, families in the process of conversion, Bar/Bat Mitzvah students and others.
We have fun times together, good conversations and mainly, study together; Hebrew, Judaism, you names it.
If you feel this can work for you, your child or your grandchild, please don’t hesitate to contact usβ€”this is why we are here.

Save the date

  • Havdalah! 7:00PM, Saturday night via Zoom. Our Havdalah starts off with the talented Shenkins playing the Karlibach version of Havdalah and moves on to Noam making the Havalah blessings. We end with some great music and the whole meeting takes no more than 10 minutes! It’s the best way to end Shabbat, and we would love you to join in on the fun and bring your kids along! link attached.

  • Bar & Bat Mitzvah class this Sunday, 10 am, via Zoom. A link will be sent out privately. We look forward to seeing all our students and engaging in some meaningful study together.

  • Kids conversational Hebrew class, this Monday, 3:15pm at Kadimah. Lets talk some Hebrew…

Wishing you all a healthy and happy Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom,
The Fogels
