Shabbat Bereshit
This Year’s High Holidays
There’s no doubt these Chagim have been odd and different for us all. It breaks our heart not being at shul with you all and not being able to host and cook for community members and friends. Despite the strangeness, it’s so important to focus on what keeps you going and stay optimistic! With the help of kind people we’ve been blessed to have in our lives here, we were able to build or own mini Succah (1.2 meters high) in our driveway and enjoyed saying the blessing and letting our kids have some fun “camping out” there.
Level 3 Lockdown Fun
This is not a new situation anymore but, hey, let’s keep on pushing through and make the best of it!
We would like to invite those of you who can, to join our daily Zoom lockdown activities.
One of the best things we can celebrate is routine and community, despite the craziness outside.
Every morning at 8.30am we have Tefillah with the Kadimah kids. ANYONE is welcome to join. Adults, kids, post Kadimah or never Kadimah. Doesn’t matter. We start by saying a few morning prayers for a brighter day ahead.
We then move on to a Women’s Workout Class at 9.15am to keep our bodies and minds in shape, despite being stuck at home.
There’s been an AMAZING and STRONG group of women join every morning and it has become a safe zone for all levels and ages.
Come check it out, fun (‘in Elisheva’s book’) is guaranteed!
On Saturday nights we have a quick Havdalah. You’d be signing on for maybe 10 minutes tops.
Together we sing Havdalah and say goodbye to Shabbat with hopes for a brighter week….
Please note - the time was changed and we are now starting 8:15PM every Saturday night.
