Shabbat Ki Tavo

Level 4 Lockdown Fun

It’s definitely ‘world changing’ when you go into lockdown overnight and suddenly your daily life is completely different.
We would like to invite those of you who can, to join our daily Zoom lockdown activities.
One of the best things we can celebrate is routine and community, despite the craziness outside.

Every morning at 8.30am we have Tefillah with the Kadimah kids. ANYONE is welcome to join. Adults, kids, post Kadimah or never Kadimah. Does not matter. We start by saying a few morning prayers for a brighter day ahead.

We then move on to a Women’s Workout Class at 9.15am to keep our bodies and minds in shape, despite being stuck at home.
There’s been an AMAZING and STRONG group of women join every morning and it has become a safe zone for all levels and ages.
Come check it out, fun (‘in Elisheva’s book’) is guaranteed!

On Saturday nights we have a quick Havdalah. You’d be signing on for maybe 10 minutes tops.
Together we sing Havdalah and say goodbye to Shabbat with hopes for a brighter week…. (de ja vu)

When we have one-off zooms we do our best to bring speakers who will offer something new and interesting for you. Keep an eye out for the next one… we’ve had our eye on him since last year’s lockdown but he was fully booked…Now, WE GOT HIM!

ONCE IN A LIFETIME

Eyal Dror is very well known in Israel and it’s time you had a chance to get to know this amazing man.
His life and IDF experience are ones you don’t hear often and we encourage you to ‘save the date’ and come hear unforgettable stories.
When we initially reached out to Eyal we knew we were aiming high and wouldn’t be able to find the time and finances to bring him to New Zealand.
NOW he has made time especially for the New Zealand community and we are excited to present you with an opportunity to experience a once in a lifetime lecture.
This Monday (30/8) , 7:30 PM.
Looking forward!

Last week…

What happens to our sins on Yom Kippur?

Thank you for being patient with us and our technical difficulties when you joined this week’s Shiur with Rabbi Avraham Stav.
It was fascinating to hear differing opinions regarding the word “kapara” and what its true meaning is.
It got us thinking what we would choose “to do” with our sins and how we enter a new year.
Are they erased? Cleansed? Covered? Or a constant reminder to be a better person? Maybe they are all the above.
We hope you enjoyed this Shiur and we’re looking forward to next week’s very exciting lecture.
