Shabbat Matot-Masei

COMING UP!

BA WINTER CAMP - JUST JEW IT!

LAST WEEK…

Make it stand out!

For the past six years Roi Abecassis has led World Bnei Akiva as its Mazkal and we can’t thank him enough for everything he has given us and the Movement. Roi has worked tirelessly in leading World Bnei Akiva to new heights, day and night, from his office in Jerusalem, and around the world. He will be terribly missed! Wishing him hatzlacha with his exciting new chapter in life.

TODAH RABA Roi from your Shlichim, the World Council, bogrim, madrichim and chanichim.

Catching up with the president of AUJS

Building relationships with the youth and young adults here is SO important. Diana is the current AUJS president and having a coffee with her the past week was a great opportunity to hear about the youth and young adults’ needs, from her perspective. Looking forward to working together on many future events.

Bowling with the Boys!

This past Thursday we had a blast bowling with the guys and enjoying some (non-alcoholic) drinks and games!
There’s a current gap after finishing the Bar & Bat Mitzvah programme before you can attend JNA.
We have spoken to several parents who feel their teens are “stuck in the middle” and would like them to be more active.
Every once in a while we will make an effort to put on a programme for this age group. Bowling done, and keep an eye on this space:)

Madsem FUN!

Madsem kicked off with a great start and an amazing group of Madrichim and some Australian Madrichim as well!
We are so excited camp is on its way and are looking forward to having a BLAST with the Chanichim and Madrichim!
Please note, if your little one is attending camp, it is going to be very cold and possibly wet and rainy.
Gumboots, warm clothes and warm bedding is a MUST!
Please ensure you send extra warm clothes so your kids come home ‘coldless’.
Madsem has been a wonderful, energetic and important week for Mads, learning more about Hadracha skills, security, potential anxieties with kids and how to help them plus more.
We’re excited!!

Bar & Bat Mitzvah students get to work and plan a fun morning with Shalom Court

Visiting Shalom Court has been one of our favorite parts of the Bar & Bat Mitzvah programme.
We love visiting the residents and seeing how happy it makes them.
The group plans a fun morning and decides how they want to spend their morning there.
This amazing group worked together to make a Jewish, Israeli & New Zealand bingo game and planned some baking and music activities as well.

Wishing you a wonderful Shabbat,
