Shabbat Achrei Mot-Kedoshim

LAST WEEK..

AHC CELEBRATES YOM HA’AZTMAUT!

Thank you to all those amazing people who made their way to the AHC on a cold, wet night and enjoyed some fresh Falafel and Hummus! We hope you enjoyed the celebration and felt some Israeli spirit in the food and music. Looking forward to many more fun celebrations together :)

Kadimah Students Remember and Celebrate

This year we tried teaching the students a bit more about Yom Hazikaron. We read poems, learnt about "Dam Hamaccabim"-the sticker we wear on Yom Hazikaron - and moved directly from there to a fun celebration of Yom Ha'atzmaut. We spoke about the hard transition between the Chags and how it makes both no sense and all the sense in the world.
We danced, watched some AMAZING Daglanut (flag dance) by some of the wonderful students and celebrated the miracle of having the State of Israel.

Pre School Flies to Israel

We were amazed to see all the hard work and time the preschool staff invested in giving the children the best experience yet. It was amazing to see the kids enjoying the flight to Israel after they checked in, received their passports and sent their luggage.
With so much love, the staff made their day unforgettable and we had the joy to participate in such a fun event.

SUNDAY FUNDAY!

Sausages and great company proved loads of fun at the Zionist Federation Yom Ha’azmaut picnic. We loved seeing many faces and continuing the celebrations of such a special day. We then moved to the AHC to start a BA seminar filled with important tools on Hadracha, Bnei Akiva’s ideology and where each person fits in that. Thank you to Sacha Sampson and Florence Cohen Smith for planning and leading the day.

Hope you are enjoying your school holidays and looking forward to seeing you all again soon,
Shabbat Shalom!
