Shabbat Eikev

With memories of such great spirits and lots of fun, it’s hard not to be planning another community lunch (details below).
Thank you to all those who attended this week’s Tu B’av lunch at the AHC. It was great laughs, amazing company and wonderful food. Keep an eye out (save the date below!) for the next one heading your way!

****SAVE THE DATE- COMMUNITY LUNCH IN HONOUR OF NEW AHC MEMBERS AND NEW FAMILIES IN AUCKLAND- SEP. 10TH ****

JNA

Last week’s JNA had us laughing so hard, our stomachs hurt. Machne Yehuda workshop was definitely one to remember.
With lots of pressure, many people in one place at the same time and loads of food to supply, the group handled the evening really well and cooked us all a delicious dinner. We loved watching them try making traditional Israeli food with no recipes and running the show on a short amount of time. Thank you to all the awesome youth members who came, we can’t wait to see you again soon!

Hebrew Class!

The group is getting bigger and the fun is building! :)
This week we played some “traditional Israeli” games as well as learning a new song for Rosh Hashana.
We learnt the different words of the song, the meaning and how to sing it. Whilst enjoying snacks, we began trying to have a short conversation in Hebrew using some words we have been learning.
Can’t wait for next class!

  • Refuah Shlema to all community members feeling sick or needing extra care. We loved visiting some of you this week and are hoping to visit all of you when suits and when everyone is well enough. Until we see you again, know we are thinking of you all and missing seeing your faces in our community!

Wishing you all a Shavua Tov and Shabbat Shalom!
