Last week..

JNF-KKL Visit the Auckland Community

This week we had the honor of hosting Sar- Shalom Jerbi, head of KKL-JNF Education Division in Israel, together with his wife Nili and the JNF Shaliach from Australia, Yigal Nissel.
They were received warmly by the community, the school and the students.
It was so exciting to see the whole school come to the court yard, the senior boys preform the HAKA led by Ian and all the students and pre-schoolers happy and excited to greet them.
Throughout the day Sar-Shalom and Yigal met with Mrs. Meltzer and Rinat from the Jewish and Hebrew studies, the AHC board, Kadimah board, GTB board, ZF, Malindy, lunch at the deli with great food, a tour of the school and shuls, a visit to the preschool and more.
It was a full on day that ended with a dinner at our house with the wonderful young leaders of BA & Habo. Together we expressed our needs as a youth movement in NZ and how KKL-JNF can assist our challenges.
Thank you for all those that helped make the day as successful as it was!

  • Refuah Shlema to all community members feeling sick or needing extra care. We have loved visiting some of you this week and are hoping to visit all of you when suits and when everyone is well enough. Until we see you again, know we are thinking of you all and missing seeing your faces in our community!

Wishing you all a Shavua Tov and Shabbat Shalom!
