Shabbat Pesach

I Have No Country Other
Lyrics: Ehud Manor
Music: Corinne Elal
Translation: Elli Sacks

I have no country other,
Though she’s burning, torn asunder.
Just a word in my native tongue delves
In my veins, and in my soul…
Half torn apart, with’a hungry heart
Here is my home.

Wellington Visit!

This week we had the honour of visiting the cutest Wellington Orot program to ensure they still remember us, Bnei Akiva and the Auckland community. We played bingo, spoke about Pesach, clearing out our inner Chametz and what is slavery - on the outside and the inside. It was a fun, meaningful and important day! We can’t wait to see them again soon!

Pesach Cleaning

It’s been busy… to say the least. We’re so excited to be celebrating Pesach soon and not excited about cleaning :)
This week Azriel and Noam made sure to Kasher the Kadimah kitchen so it can be of use to all those needing it during Pesach.
Fun? Not really. Important? VERY. Mission accomplished.

Kadimah & Preschool Friday night service

Thank you to all the 65 wonderful parents, grandparents, Kadimah students and Pre school students for joining last Friday night’s service.
It was extremely special seeing all the kids sing along and see a live Friday night service in the Shule.
We loved watching everyone celebrate Shabbat together.
Thank you all for joining, looking forward to more services together in the near future!

Seder Plates

Last Sunday we made our own Seder plates, learned about the different symbols and enjoyed a tasting contest at the end. Together we learnt about freedom vs slavery, what it means nowadays and what Pesach means to each one.

First Night Seder

We’re so excited to invite you all to join this year’s first night Seder at the AHC. We will have a blast ensuring the Seder is clear and meaningful for all! The young ones won’t be exhausted by the time we reach dinner and will, we hope, forever cherish the memory of celebrating Pesach with their community.

Bnei Akiva Second Seder

The traditional second Seder run by our very awesome BA Madrichim is on its way! Stay tuned for the AMAZING fun that’s around the corner.

Shavuot’s Almost Here…Come Share YOU…

It might seem far but it’s just around the corner!
Shavuot, where the main idea is to study, and it’s a mitzvah to study TOGETHER! This community is filled with fascinating, interesting and talented people. Come shine some of your light this Shavuot and give us a short TED talk about anything YOU feel connected to.
If you’re interested or you know someone who has an awesome story or would be happy to teach us some Shavuot learnings, please send them our way!

If you haven’t joined the community’s WhatsApp group to be updated about all the upcoming events, youth activities, Shabbat programmes, bravery notices and more - now’s the time!!

See you soon…

After three years and a kid later, we are flying back home to see our family and friends. Words cannot explain our excitement but also, the pinch in our hearts when thinking of the community, the youth and all we will be missing. We will be returning on May 24th to NZ. We will be available on:

Noam- +972544376120
