Last week

Kadimah Tfilah is back on track!

We are so excited to be back on zoom with the awesome Kadimah students! We meet every morning and say the Morning prayers together and have a short “Limmud” (study).
This past week we learnt more about Shabbat, its rules and laws and do’s and dont’s. On Friday we do Kabbalat Shabbat and, despite being on zoom, see the students participating and enjoying the time together, almost as much as we do :)

Bar & Bat Mitzvah students 2022

This Sunday we had the pleasure of meeting this year’s new Bar & Bat Mitzvah group! Loved getting to know some of the students and hearing their thoughts and wishes for the new year together. The students studied with their parents about the origin of a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, what it means in the Jewish world and why it is specifically celebrated at the age of 12 for girls and 13 for boys.
We loved watching the parents and their children bond and look forward to getting to know all the students a bit more.
B’ehatzlacha!

Kid sister production

For the past few weeks we have been assisting the “Kid Sister” production, to ensure our rituals, clothes, traditions and Tefillah are well represented. During filming, we did our best to help the production team not miss a thing and get it all right.
We also played a small part in the film and look forward to adding “actor” on to our CV alongside many Kiwi we are experiencing here:)

Friday night service

This week we had the pleasure of learning with Layah towards her Bat Mitzvah. Layah will be leading the Friday night service like many Bat Mitzvah girls decide to do.
We feel priviliged to be able to teach the tunes, pronunciations and meaning of the Tfilah and look forward to seeing many more young ladies leading their way in our community. If you would like to learn the Friday night service, please feel free to reach out!

Fully booked for the first time in years!

Beyond excited to have had the Mikveh FULLY BOOKED!! this week.
From Saturday night till today, the Mikveh has been used every day.
Thank you to all our Sunday helpers for assisting with the cleaning of the Mikveh and making it spotless! For the first time in many years, you can see the floor! If you would like to use the Mikveh please let us or the office know.

Hope to see you all at our upcoming events!
Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom,
The Fogels
