Purim Market 2023

Last Sunday's Purim market was an absolute blast! With over 400 people in attendance, the market was buzzing with excitement and joy. The collaboration between Jewish Auckland, Kadimah School and AHC made the event even more special and memorable.

The market was filled with diverse stalls selling all sorts of goodies, from delicious food to unique trinkets. There were also plenty of fun activities for kids, including games, face painting, a bouncy castle, and prizes. Which kept the young ones entertained.

The atmosphere was truly amazing, with everyone laughing, smiling, and having a great time. It was wonderful to see the community come together in such a vibrant and inclusive way. The Purim market was a fantastic celebration of Purim and a testament to the strong bonds within our community.

Overall, the Purim market was a huge success! Thank you to all our stall holders and to everyone who came out and made it such a fun and memorable day!

Special Shout Out!

We are so proud of the awesome Bnei Akiva Auckland Madrichim for putting together a mini Mishloach Manot for community members to give out to one another.
Another amazing group was our Bar & Bat Mitzvah students that held an awesome stall filled with games, fun, prizes, and loads of activities for everyone to enjoy!
Kol Hakavod to our young leaders, this community is very lucky to have you as the current and future leaders.

Kadimah Celebrates Purim

Kadimah school’s Purim party was a great mix of education and fun. Students were given the opportunity to learn a part of the Megillah and create a play based on it. Before the play, there was a costume parade where students could show off their costumes. The party also emphasised the importance of "Matanot Laevyonim," which involves giving donations to those in need. By combining education, creativity, and charity, the school's Purim party provided a well-rounded and meaningful celebration of the holiday.

Pre-School Fun!

The preschool's Purim party was loads of fun. We taught the kids how to make Hamentashen, which was a hands-on fun, yummy, and interactive activity. The party itself was adorable. There was singing, dancing, and Megillah reading with the school, which helped to bring everyone together and create a joyful atmosphere. The morning tea organised by the preschool staff was a lovely way to end the festivities, giving everyone a chance to relax and enjoy each other's company. The party was loads of fun and a great way to introduce young children to the traditions of Purim and create a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Happy Purim and Keep up the Involvement!
