Shabbat Chukat

Limmud 2022- Wellington!
This year’s Limmud will be in Wellington, August 27-28. We can’t wait to participate and have enjoyed being part of the programme planning. We encourage you all to attend Limmud - a Shabbat together in Wellington as a community sounds so great to us!!

Open Day at the new site in Remuera

It was fun seeing everyone at the Open Day of the new site in Remuera and exciting to see so many faces we do not know! (Kind of like Chanukah in the Park!)
We are thrilled to be here to help with the move, create a thriving community and ensure our awesome youth keep up the good work! We have so much appreciation in our hearts for all those involved, working day and night, to make this move possible and successful. L’eshana Haba B’Remuera and hopefully later on, B’yerushalaim.

Farewell Da Costas

This past week we accompanied the Da Costa family to the airport with Israeli flags, singing a final BA Misdar at the airport.
Together, we sent them off to a new beginning, home, community and a fresh start. Many wonderful people are waiting for them on the other side with lots of excitement and the feeling of Shlichut in helping Olim Chadashim. The Da Costa family has been a supporting, loving and committed family in keeping BA New Zealand alive and running.
They’ve volunteered hours and hours of their time and energy and, as Shlichim, we have had the privilege of being part of their Kiwi journey and the battle of overcoming every challenge in making Aliyah and boy, they had many. Not a goodbye, just a see you later.
Finishing off today with a huge feeling of pride and love in our hearts. For those moving on, going home, and for those here with us, making sure the New Zealand home is a real Jewish home for all the kids here. Missing the Da Costas already, proud of our Madrichim and excited for a more Zionistic and Jewish future to all coming, going and staying.

It’s been a fun week and we have been prepping full time to ensure this winter camp is one of the best!
With an amazing amount of Madrichim on board and an extra four Aussies, we are on our way to a great CAMP!!

Wishing you all a Shavua Tov and Shabbat Shalom!
