Shabbat Tzav

Purim Vibes throughout the Month!

Starting Rosh Chodesh Adar ||, we started singing Purim songs after T’filah with Kadimah students, letting them go to morning tea with a smile on their faces. It became a fun part that they were waiting for, and we will hopefully continue adding in upbeat songs for the rest of the year as well :)

Purim at Kadimah 🎉🎭

Last Thursday, we celebrated Purim with Kadimah school and the preschool, along with many parents who joined the colourful day!

We started with the traditional parade and saw all the beautiful and original costumes, followed by the Megillah reading in the Shul led by Rabbi Rube and Ariel. After the Megillah, we enjoyed fun stations led by the Hebrew & Jewish studies team, along with the Shlichim :)

Purim at Shalom Court 🎉🤡

On Friday, Roni and Yaniv joined with year 8 students the Purim celebrations held at Shalom Court.

The students prepared a speech for the residents, followed by songs and some fun dancing! We brought with us Mishlochei Manot from all the Kadimah classes, with cards and drawings for our dear residents.

We wish the wonderful residents many more happy and healthy years ❤

Bnei’s senior Purim Shabbaton!🎉

This weekend, we also held BA’s Shabbaton at the AHC, and it was incredible!

With 22 Chanichim and 12 Madrichim, we had a wonderful time with so much fun, bonding, peulot, laughter, and of course- Shabbat singing :)

We had a great Kiddush on Shabbat and two Megillah readings with the community - on Saturday night and again Sunday morning ✨

The Purim Carnival🎉🎭

Last Sunday's Purim carnival was an absolute blast! With over 300 people in attendance, the carnival was full with excitement and joy. The collaboration between Jewish Auckland, Bnei Akiva, Habonim Dror and AHC made the event even more special and memorable.

The Carnival was filled with diverse stalls selling all sorts of goodies - from delicious food, through to Bnei’s Mishlochei Manot and unique ceramics. There were plenty of fun activities for kids, including games led by Habo and BA mads, face painting, and let’s not forget the bouncy castles which kept the young ones entertained :)

We saw some beautiful costumes throughout the event and were ourselves a part of Bnei’s staff
group costume- Noah’s ark! All mads came as couples of animals. We were Noah and his wife,
and Tomer was the rainbow. 🌈

The atmosphere was truly amazing, with everyone laughing, smiling, and having a great time, and even the weather couldn’t ruin the fun! It was wonderful to see the community come together in such a vibrant and inclusive way. The Purim carnival was a fantastic celebration of Purim and a testament to the strong bonds within our community.

Overall, the Purim carnival was a huge success! Thank you to all our stall holders, to our amazing photographer Sav and to everyone who came out and made it such a fun and memorable day!
