Shabbat Achrei Mot
What a busy Pesach it has been!
These past two weeks were busy and filled with fun experiences such as the AHC’s first night Seder led by Rabbi Rube, the Second Seder led by our incredible Bnei Akiva mads, and so much more!
It was our first holiday here, and as much as we missed home, we enjoyed this Pesach so much and are grateful for the wonderful people in this community.
Leshanah HaBa-ah Biyrushalayim!✨
Mimuna 2024 ✨
Mimuna is the traditional Moroccan celebration when Pesach ends, when we enjoy the first Chametz after the Chag.
The word Mimuna comes from Arabic and it is translated to "the holiday of faith". It is called that because even though the Mashiach didn't arrive during Pesach, we believe that he will come soon and this is our way to show our faith.
The Mimuna known for its special food, Mufleta (crepe with some butter and honey), and some families also makes Sfinj (looks like a doughnut, covered with sugar).
We were happy to see so many people who joined our celebration and enjoyed Ariel’s wonderful Mufletot and Sfinj. We look forward to continuing to share our traditions with you all :)
