Tanakh Presentation at Kadimah

Last Thursday we had the pleasure of attending the beautiful Tanakh ceremony.
It was obvious the teachers and students worked extremely hard on preparing a wonderful, intresting and memorable presentation.
The presentation focused on different heroes from the bible and each student/group presented the hero they had chosen.
Kol Hakavod to all involved!

Bar & Bat Mitzvah Celebration

They did it! After a year of challenges, roller coaster rides and many unknowns, this group has finally graduated and are now officially entering their Bar & Bat Mitzvah year.
The celebration on Sunday night had more than 100 people attend and enjoy each student’s presentation about their journey, studies and thoughts.
We had the honor of having families, friends and board members join the fun.
Wishing this amazing group only wonderful things to come!

Last Hebrew class for the year

Competition mode was on!
Fun activities and some treats for the winners of the last Hebrew class of the year.
This year we focused on learning basic and important words used in Hebrew many times.
The kids seemed to enjoy the classes and from week to week, the group grew.
With Jewish and non-Jewish children in the group, we loved seeing their passion to learn and practice Hebrew.

Camp preparation

It’s not a secret that every camp is lots of hard work done by many people behind the scenes.
For months now Florence Cohen-Smith together with other wonderful Bnei Akiva leaders has been working up a storm and planning camp in the best way possible.
Activities, Peulot, food and more are just a few of the tasks we need to plan out before camp.
It has been amazing watching the sign ups fill up minute by minute; it is unfortunate that we could not accept everyone due to a limited amount of madrichim and beds at the current campsite.
We are so grateful to Lisa Cohen-Smith who has been running the kitchen and all the pre-camp cooking.
The menu is amazing and the pre-cooked food looks delicious.
Hope you are getting excited for camp, we sure are!!
