LAST WEEK

JYA, Simchat Torah & Shmini Atzeret

JYA PIZZA NIGHT IN THE SUKKAH!

Thank you to more than 30 young adults that joined this weeks JYA. Together we enjoyed delicious pizza, fries and salad from the Kosher Deli and got to hear from Yael, the Israeli deputy ambassador. We discussed the different aspects of her role, how it has to do with the Jewish NZ community and what her memories and experiences are from Sukkot in Israel.
Many share their thoughts and feelings about celebrating Sukkot in NZ.
It was truly wonderful seeing everyone having dinner together in the Sukkah.
To many more!

  • Pizza in the Sukkah and the annual AHC BBQ were both enjoyed very much this week. Thank you to all those who made an effort and came to celebrate with us the receiving of the Torah, and finishing reading through it all. Every ending brings a new begging so get ready to start over and read the Torah from the begging, all over again!

  • Refuah Shlema to all community members feeling sick or needing extra care. We loved visiting some of you this week and are hoping to visit all of you when suits and when everyone is well enough. Until we see you again, know we are thinking of you all and missing seeing your faces in our community!

Looking forward to seeing you all for many more fun events together, the holidays might be over but the community is still here waiting to see you whenever you come! 💜
