Our Community Centre at 108 Greys Ave, Auckland Central, consists of:
- Two Synagogues
- AHC Offices
- The Greys Avenue Deli (Auckland’s only Kosher café and grocery store)
- Kadimah School
- Function rooms
The AHC provides spiritual guidance, Jewish continuity and a sense of community for the Jews of Auckland. This is achieved through the passion, dedication and hard work of congregants who not only serve the AHC, but proudly contribute to the wider New Zealand community in politics, business, community, social justice, sport, arts and culture, philanthropy and academia. The Auckland Hebrew Congregation may be one of the world’s smaller Jewish communities, but it has a proud history and an exciting future ahead.
Whether you want to attend services, grab a Kosher bite, buy Kosher Challah, groceries and meat, host your own Simcha, or take a tour – you’ll find what you need at the hub of Auckland’s Jewish community.
We value:
- An unwavering devotion to Halacha (Jewish Law) and tradition
- Providing a warm and friendly spiritual atmosphere in which Jews, no matter what level of observance, knowledge or commitment, will feel welcomed and inspired.
- A commitment to society at large where every individual is valued and invited to participate and contribute towards our community.
The Auckland Hebrew Congregation’s centre at 108 Greys Avenue was built in 1968.
